The CVSWMD provides hazardous waste collections from spring through fall each year. The collections are focused on household hazardous waste, but small businesses, schools and municipal offices/facilities who qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Generator (CEG) under the Vermont Hazardous Waste Management Regulations may use the collections by appointment. What does it cost to safely dispose of hazardous materials?Costs vary by the type and quantity of materials brought to the collection. The Field Programs Coordinator can estimate prices based on your inventory or can assist you with an inventory if needed. In most cases, utilizing the CVSWMD Hazardous Waste Collection Program is the most cost-effective option for managing your hazardous waste. However, every business is unique and you may prefer to hire a licensed hazardous waste contractor who can pick up your hazardous waste directly from your location.
