Household Toxics

Household toxics can lurk in many corners of our homes—pesticides in the garage, paint cans in the basement, worn out fluorescent bulbs and chemical cleaners under the sink, even that pressure treated wood picnic table on the deck might be treated with arsenic.

The many products and chemicals in use today means we all need to be very aware of everything we bring into our homes.

This section of the CVSWMD Web site highlights some household toxics and offers suggestions for handling, using and storing them safely, and choosing safer alternatives.
